Nutrition For Change has expanded its nationwide community nutrition awareness campaign to Dhaka as part of its ongoing project, “Eat Smart, Stay Strong: Expanding Community Nutrition Awareness through Evidence-Based Action,” supported by the SUN Youth Network Bangladesh and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).

As part of the initiative, the organization has been installing Nutrition Information Tags at local vegetable vendors to help consumers make healthier, informed food choices. After successfully rolling out the model in Rangpur, the project has now officially reached the capital.

Under the leadership of Md Saffat Hossain, Chief Operating Officer of Nutrition For Change, the Dhaka operations team has completed the installation of Nutrition Information Tags at eight flagship Meena Bazar outlets across the city, beginning with the Dhanmondi 27 branch.

On Friday, a team from Nutrition For Change also visited the Bashundhara JCX outlet to oversee ongoing monitoring and coordination of the installation activities, ensuring accuracy and uniformity in customer-facing nutrition displays.

The organization has credited the progress of the initiative to the strategic direction of Raisa Mehzabeen, Chief Executive Officer of Nutrition For Change, whose leadership has been instrumental in driving evidence-based community nutrition efforts.

According to Nutrition For Change, the partnership with Meena Bazar aims to ensure that customers have access to fresh, pure, and nutritionally transparent produce, enabling households across Dhaka to adopt smarter, healthier eating habits.

With this expansion, the Eat Smart, Stay Strong project continues its mission of building informed communities equipped with the knowledge to make healthier dietary choices.
