The orientation program for the new members of the Leadership Development Program (LDP) 2025 of Jagannath University Career Club (JNUCC) was held successfully. The event took place on Saturday (12 July) in Room 315 of the Shaheed Sajid Academic Building of the university.
Former leaders of the club attended the program as special guests. The alumni reminisced about their experiences at the club and engaged in discussions on the corporate world, banking sector and civil services. They also shared their professional experiences and provided valuable career advice to the newly enrolled members.
Shahriar Imon,
President of the club, said, “The primary objective of Jagannath University Career Club is to empower the youth to become future leaders through skill development. Besides academic education, the Career Club has always played a vital role in helping students move a step forward. It acts as an effective bridge between education and future career endeavors.”
Irfan Hossain, General Secretary of the club, stated, “LDP is the club’s official member recruitment program. Through this initiative, participating students gain practical learning opportunities, hands-on experience in the club’s eleven specialized teams and year-long training sessions designed to enhance their skills and competencies.”
It is noteworthy that the Leadership Development Program (LDP) is the official recruitment process of Jagannath University Career Club. Out of a large number of applicants, eighty students were selected through a multi-phase screening process and were inducted as special members under the title ‘Management Trainee’. Under LDP, these registered students undergo a structured, year-long leadership development journey that includes various training sessions, creative competitions and innovative challenges. These activities aim to develop their leadership qualities and prepare them to become qualified candidates in the competitive job market of the 21st century.
